Commander Prof. Dr. Carlos Alberto Monson holds a degree in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo (FOUSP), Brazil, with specialized training in Hospital Dentistry and Behavioral Medicine from Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP). He earned a Master's in Microbiology/Immunology and a PhD in Evidence-Based Medicine from UNIFESP. Dr. Monson is actively involved in research with the Cochrane Collaboration, specifically on complementary treatments for chronic plaque psoriasis, and manages various projects focused on oral and systemic health. His post-doctoral work in Clinical Neurosciences explores virtual reality for psoriasis treatment. He is the Coordinator of Clinical Service for the Multidisciplinary Psoriasis Ambulatory at São Paulo Hospital (EPM/UNIFESP) and serves as an Oral Health Consultant for the American Wound Association, Brazilian Society of Rheumatology, and the Brazilian Center for Psoriasis Studies.
