Telematics is a specialty in dermatology and may be one of the most popular technologies of e-health and telemedicine. In this region, telecom technology is used to transmit medical information across varying distances through audio, visual, and data communication. In the Teledermatic practice, two principles are defined: Speak & Advance, and in real-time or immersive teledermatology. Teledermatology reduces waiting time by allowing dermatologists to remotely treat minor conditions, while appointments under serious conditions which require prompt care are prioritized.
