Hair transplantation totally differs from skin grafting, it is one of the surgical technique. That moves hair follicles from donor site to recipient site (balding part) of the body. In the beginning, it is used to treat the baldness only, but now a day it can be also used to treat or restore the hair follicles to eyelashes, eyebrows, beard hair, chest and pubic hair and to fill in scars caused by accidents or surgery. Hair transplantation widely classified into three categories Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE), and Hair Stem Cell Transplantation (HSC). In worldwide, hair transplantation market size is near $2.5 billion this was increased 28% since 2012. A number of Hair transplantations have increased 76% from 2006 to 2014. Since 2006 the proportion of female surgical hair transplantation patients increased by 11%. In 2014 more than 1 million hair transplantation (surgical or non-surgical) patients were treated. Asia (427709), USA (244207) and Middle East (125372) are the top three regions for a number of hair transplant patients in 2014.
